Why would I come to you, Sunita, instead of another therapist?
Hm. I’m here to help you ‘uncomplicate’ things. Life’s too short to keep running in circles, and sometimes what we really need isn’t just another breakthrough—it’s a reset.
Therapy with me isn’t a “here’s a list of things to fix and an assessment to fill” deal; it’s a “let’s find your strength and laugh (and maybe cry) our way through this” kind of journey.
How do I pay for sessions?
Easy! Payments can be made online via UPI, bank transfer, or good old Google Pay. My focus is on ease and accessibility, so don’t worry about “wallet-bending” fees or hidden charges. We’ll make it work.
Can I reschedule?
Absolutely. Life is unpredictable, so rescheduling is available for both monthly and personal plan clients. Just let me know a day in advance! Fill in the contact details to learn more about my plans and pricing.
Is therapy only for serious issues like depression or trauma?
Yes. And no. Yes because there is no way of hiding mental distress. You need to pause and seek treatment. Today people are understanding what ignoring mental distress can do.
And no because therapy is for the good times, the bad times, and the “I’m-not-sure-what-I’m-feeling” times. Think of it as a space to explore, breathe, and just be you.
What can I expect from counselling sessions with you?
In counselling sessions with me, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. I will actively listen, provide empathetic support, and guide you through a personalized journey of self-exploration, healing, and personal growth.
What types of issues do you specialize in?
I specialize in a wide range of areas, including grief recovery, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationships crisis, personal empowerment, and a unique emphasis on prevention-focused counselling. I focus on self-actualization as the ultimate goal; healing and freedom are merely milestones along the journey.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy isn’t a Netflix binge; there’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some people feel a shift in a few weeks, while others prefer ongoing support. It depends on your goals—whether it’s tackling anxiety or building better habits. We’ll figure it out together.
Isn’t therapy expensive, and aren’t therapists just out to make money?
I hear you. Sure, therapy can seem expensive—ever wondered what ignoring sleepless nights, bad decisions, and all your relationships cost you? Funny how no one talks about that bill.
And let’s be honest: most people saying therapy doesn’t work either never tried it or went once in the ’90s when landlines were still a thing. Therapy today is flexible, tailored, and comes with options. So, before you write it off, maybe ask someone who’s actually been to a session. You might just surprise yourself. I can actually arrange a call for you with someone who found value in therapy. Helps?
Will I have to talk about my childhood?
Only if it’s relevant to what’s going on now. Therapy isn’t about blaming your parents and childhood for everything; it’s about understanding patterns and finding solutions that work for you today.
Will I have to take medication if I start therapy?
Not necessarily. Therapy and medication aren’t an either/or situation— to explain on a lighter note, they’re more like coffee and snacks at a meeting: useful together, but not always required. For many, therapy alone works wonders for issues like anxiety or depression. If medication does come up, it’s something we’d discuss thoughtfully, and always with a medical professional involved.
